Slight spells fail to avert sultry day in Kolkata

Kolkata, Sep 2 (UNI) Kolkata today remained sultry and humid though the city received slight spells of rain in some areas.

The Met office recorded a maximum temperature of 33.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum was recorded at 27.1 degrees Celsius.

Maximum relative humidity was pegged at 95 per cent while the minimum relative humidity was 62 per cent.

According to local weathermen, of rain was recorded in the city, 2.0 mm.

The Met predicted a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of slight rain or thunder showers in some areas during the next 24 hours.
