Ramapatiram Tripathi appointed BJP UP unit President

New Delhi, Sep 2 (UNI) Mr Ramapatiram Tripathy has been appointed President of the Uttar Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the party announced here today.

The appointment was made by BJP President Rajnath Singh.

Mr Tripathi succeeds Mr Kesrinath Tripathi, who resigned from his post following the debacle of the BJP in the recently concluded assembly elections in the state.

A statement from the party said Mr Singh had accepted the resignation of Mr Kesrinath Tripathi.
