Mentally challenged held for demanding money

arrested
a
mentally
challenged
person
for
allegedly
threatening
Chief
Minister
D
D
Lapang
and
demanding
Rs
two
crore
from
him.
Police here today said that Rupak Nath was arrested on August 31 from North Cachar Hills district.
The man had made several calls to Mr Lapang's residence asking him to pay the amount immediately, police added.
Meanwhile, police were investigating whether Rupak Nath was instigated by someone to demand money from the chief minister.
