Man killed in accident on Race Course Road

New Delhi, Sept 2 (UNI) A 25-year-old motorcycle-borne man was killed and his pillion rider critically injured when the vehicle had a head-on collision with a car at South Delhi's Race Course Road in the early hours today, police said.

Dilip Mann, who was crossing the Race Course Road signal a few meters from the Prime Minister's residence, died on the spot after his motorcycle was hit by a luxury car at 0130 hrs.

Eyewitnesses said the car, driven by Abhishek, a senior executive in an MNC, had jumped the signal and was speeding at the time of the accident.

The pillion rider was rushed to All India Institute of Medical Science where his condition was stated to be critical.
