Man killed by own brothers over mobile dispute

Fatehabad, Sep 2 (UNI) A man was allegedly killed by his own brothers after a dispute over a mobile phone at Khabra Kalan village near here.

According to the police sources, the victim, Pardeep, was going to a dhani (cluster of houses) with his friend, Ram Niwas, when Sonu and Mariya, both brothers of the victim, and about nine other persons attacked him with lathis and sharp edged weapons. Pardeep received serious injuries and died on the spot.

Sonu and Pardeep had a dispute over a mobile phone, according to the sources.

The police had registered a case against all the absconding accused, including two real brothers, under sections 302, 323, 148 and 149 of the IPC on the complaint of Ram Niwas and had raided several possible hideouts of the accused.
