Bhopal, Sep 2 (UNI) Bharatiya Jan Shakti President Uma Bharti today said her party would strongly oppose the implementation of recommendations of the Sachar committee. Ms Bharti told reporters here today that reservation on the basis of religion would not be accepted because India is a secular country. She demanded that India should be declared a 'Hindu Rashtra' before implementing reservation along the lines of religion.

She said reservation on the basis of caste could be accepted due to existence of caste system in the country.
