BJP president to visit Meghalaya

Shillong, Sep 2: BJP president Rajnath Singh will arrive here on September 13 for a two-day tour of Meghalaya to assess his party's election campaign for the forthcoming Assembly elections, party sources said today.

Meghalaya, alongwith two other Northeastern states, Nagaland and Tripura, will go for Assembly polls early next year.

Mr Singh will address executive members and discuss strategy with senior party workers and legislators, including the two BJP MLAs from the state.

The BJP president is likely to address the public on September 14, party sources added.

All India general secretary Ramlal and national leaders of the party will accompany the BJP president.
