AI reschedules Mumbai-New York flight

Mumbai, Sep 2 (UNI) A non-stop Air India flight from Mumbai to New York which was scheduled to depart today at 0040 hrs, has now been rescheduled to 2330 hrs due to a technical snag.

The AI-141 Mumbai-New York non-stop flight, scheduled to depart today at 0040 hrs, will now take off at 2330 hrs as the altimeter of the aircraft was not functioning and Air India was in talks with Boeing, the makers of the aircraft, to rectify the fault, an AI statement said.

However, the aircraft can depart only at 2330 hrs due to crew flight duty norms.

All the passengers have been accommodated in the city's hotels, it added.
