MP: Undergo vasectomy and win gold coin
Indore, Sep 1: The Madhya Pradesh Health Department and a non-government organisation have initiated an unique scheme for encouraging the family planning programme in this district.
Those undergoing vasectomy today, at a camp under the National Family Welfare Programme in the Malharganj polyclinic, would be gifted Rs 500, a pant, shirt and might be lucky to win a five-gram gold coin. The operations would be conducted by Dr Lalit Mohan Pant.
''For every 25-30 men, the voluntary organisation Population Health Services will conduct lucky draws for the coins,'' said Chief Medical and Health Officer Sharad Pandit. The organisation would give Rs 50 per operation to persons who encourage vasectomy.
