Three suspected LeT men arrested in temple attack in Bhaderwah
Jammu, Sep 1 (UNI) Three suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants, were arrested by security forces last evening in connection with the Laxmi Narayan temple blast in Bhaderwah town of Doda district, official sources said today.
Acting on the inputs collected from eyewitness and intelligence, the local police raided several places in the town and arrested the youth.
Sources said the arrested men were identified as Manzoor Ahmed, Yaseen Bhat and Ishtiyaq Ahmed, adding the interrogation was still on.
The involvement of the youths in the blast was established from the wireless intercepts of a LeT cadre as they were allegedly associated with Abu Kansa, a self-styled Lashkar district commander operating in Bhaderwah, sources added.
Some unidentified people had hurled a grenade at the Laxmi Narayan temple in heart of the city on August 28.
Several Hindu oganisations observed a two-day bandh in Bhaderwah and Kishtwar towns in protest against the incident.
