Shatrughan Sinha predicts early Lok Sabha polls

Shimla, Sep 1 (UNI) Actor-turned-politician and senior BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha today predicted early Lok Sabha polls in the country, saying fissures had appeared in the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) following disagreement over nuclear deal with US.

''The countdown for the mid term polls has begun and it is only a question of time before the country faces mid term Lok Sabha elections,'' he told reporters here.

Mr Sinha, however, said that it would be difficult for him to predict how long the present crisis would continue, adding that the UPA Government would surely not complete its full term.

Expressing his admiration for the hill station, he said he had visited Shimla many times in past and was delighted to be here again.

Later, addressing the students of local DAV school here, he called upon the students to put in their soul achieve their goals in life and become role models for the future generations.

''Rather than following the footsteps of other people, youngsters should endeavor to develop their own identity,'' he added.
