Rajkot boy, injured in Hyderabad blast, dies

Rajkot, Sep 1 (UNI) Yash Fefar, who was seriously injured in the bomb blast at Hyderabad on August 25, succumbed to injuries at a private hospital here late last night.

Rajkot Municipal Corporation Commissioner B H Ghodasara told UNI that Yash (12) was brought here yesterday from Hyderabad in a special aircraft. He was admitted to Wockhardt Hospital and was put on life support.

He breathed his last late last night in the hospital. Doctors, attending on the boy, tried their best to save him, Mr Ghodasara said.

Yash was a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya here and was studying in VII standard. His father, Vallabhbhai Fefar (43), also a victim of the blast, passed away at a Hyderabad hospital. His body brought here on August 26.

Vallabhbhai, along with his wife Meena and two sons Yash (12) and Meet (8), were to present in the open-air auditorium at Lumbini Park to witness the laser show when the blast occurred. Seriously injured Vallabhbhai was taken to a hospital there where he succumbed to his injuries. His son had undergone surgery at the Yashodhara Hospital in Hyderabad on August 27.
