Rajasthan gets drenched under monsoon trough
Jaipur, Sep 1 (UNI) The monsoon trough developed in Rajasthan has resulted in heavy downpour today, drenching many parts of the state.
However, 12 districts of the state are still waiting for rain relief.
According to weather and irrigation department, although the monsoon is currently not active in the entire country, the eastern winds from the Himalayan basin blowing towards Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh is resulting in rain in these parts.
As a result, eastern parts of Rajasthan are experiencing heavy rainfall and other parts are witnessing scattered rain.
Kotakasim in Alwar district received 150 mm rainfall in the last 24 hours, Neemrana and Kishangarhbaas tehsils received 90 and 80 mm rainfall respectively.
The state capital received heavy rainfall today and many parts of the city were waterlogged.
