Pondy Govt asked to take over Cable TV operations

Puducherry, Sep 1 (UNI) Puducherry Cable TV Owners Association today urged the administration to take over Cable TV operations in the Union Territory.

In a memorandum submitted to Chief Minister N Rangasamy, Association President Saleem pointed out the Tamil Nadu Government's initiative in this regard and said if the Puducherry administration came forward to do so, cable TV owners would extend full cooperation.

He demanded that a high-level committee, comprising cable TV representatives, be constituted to discuss the issue in detail.

Mr Saleem later told newspersons that the Chief Minister had agreed to consider their demands.
