People raise anti-national slogans before J&K CM
Doda, Sep 1 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today faced embarrassment in his hometown Bhaderwah in Doda district when agitated people raised ''anti-national and pro-freedom'' slogans.
The Chief Minister himself witnessed the pro-freedom and anti-national slogans, eyewitness said.
Mr Azad reached the town at 1020 hrs this morning to attend a prize distribution ceremony at Bhaderwah campus of Jammu University, but his convoy was not allowed to pass from Jama Masjid Chowk as all the roads were blocked by thousands of protesters, who observed complete bandh in protest of the arrest of three youths of Chacka Dandi village by Special Task Force (STF), in connection with Laxmi Narayan temple blast.
Doda SSP Monohar Singh, along with his force tried to clear the road but the CM's convoy was not allowed to proceed for his scheduled programmes. Ultimately Mr Azad turned back and changed his route reaching the function an hour late.
