Maruti Udyog August sales up 25 pc

New Delhi, Sep 1: Largest Car market Maruti Udyog Ltd today said it has sold about 60,229 vehicles in the domestic market during August 2007, registering an increase of 25 per cent from 48,259 vehicles in the same month last year.

Besides, the company also exported 5,739 units, up from 3,596 units last year.

Maruti's volume in the domestic A2 segment went up by 28.6 per cent, the A3 segment grew by 70.6 per cent and in C segment grew by 24.5 per cent during the month compared to sales in August 2006.
