Low pressure persists, more rains to occur in AP
Hyderabad, Sep 1 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh will experience a heavy rainfall in the next 48 hours as the morning's low pressure over West-central Bay of Bengal, adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal and Coastal areas of north Andhra Pradesh persisted.
Under its influence, widespread rainfall with scattered heavy to very heavy falls is likely to occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the period, according to the Indian Meteorology Department.
Fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfalls were also likely to commence over Telangana.
Southwest monsoon has been active over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the last 24 hours. While Rayalaseema had experienced isolated rainfall.
Visakhapatnam recorded heavy rainfall of seven cm. The other mounts of rainfall recorded in cm are Nandigama, Paleru Bridge six each, Tuni, Visakhapatnam Airport five each, Kakinada, Venkatapuram four, Koida and Madhira and Perur and Yemmiganur three each.
