Itanagar, Sep 1 (UNI) The decomposed body of kidnapped Chartered Accountant Paras Dugar was recovered from a river near Poma village, about 15 km from here, police today said.

Mr Dugar, who was the Legal Adviser to the Arunachal Chamber of Commerce and Industries(ACCI), was abducted on August 28 when he was on his way to meet a client.

Police said acting on a tip-off one Likha Takar, owner of a saw mill, was nabbed. On interrogation, he confessed to murdering Mr Dugar and dumping the body in the river from where it was recovered yesterday.

Investigation was on to ascertain the motive behind the murder, police added.

Meanwhile, traders of the Capital Complex today kept all business establishments closed in protest against the murder.

The business community condemned the murder in a condolence meeting attended by ACCI president Techi Lala, vice-president Dominic Tadar and general secretary Tarak Nachung, among others.

The ACCI leaders castigated the traders for their 'lackadaisical attitude' towards the trader bodies and 'submitting' to the demands of extortionists.
