GM India August 2007 sales up by 114 %

Chennai, Sep 1 (UNI) General Motors India has registered a record growth of 114 per cent in sales in August 2007, compared to the corresponding period last year.

It sold 5817 units in August 2007, against 2720 units in August last year, making it the highest ever monthly sales achieved by GM India since inception, a company release here today said.

The August 2007 sales comprise of 1547 units of Chevrolet Tavera, 1567 units of Chevrolet Aveo, 741 units of Chevrolet Optra and 1962 units of Chevrolet Spark, the release added.
