Four receive burn injuries from chemicals during road mishap

Kaithal, Sep 1 (UNI) Four people received serious burn injuries when a three-wheeler, carrying them along with some chemicals, was hit by a car near Kangthli village on the Kaithal-Patiala road, about 18 km from here, this morning .

The injured, including two women and a three-month old baby girl, were first rushed to the civil hospital here and then referred to PGI at Chandiagrh.

They received burn injuries when the three-wheeler overturned during the accident and chemicals filled in plastic cans fell on them. The driver also received burn injuries.

The three-wheeler was carrying five plastic cans filled with chemicals to be supplied at Cheeka and on the way two women, Asha (30) and Kusum ( 46), with a girl baby had boarded it.

Balwant Singh, the chemical supplier, who also received injuries, was admitted to the civil hospital here .

Police registered a case and took the three wheeler and the chemical cans in their possession.
