Estate dept driver arrested for eve teasing

Lucknow, Sep 1 (UNI) Police today arrested a driver of the Uttar Pradesh estate department under charges of eve-teasing in Alambagh area here.

Police said the accused Ranjit Singh was returning from Amausi Airport after dropping a retired IAS officer.

Ranjit stopped the red-beacon light fitted car near Ambedkar Ground and started harassing a girl, who was alone.

However, he was caught and beaten up by some motorcycle-borne youth, before being handed over to police.

The car driver was under the influence of liquor, when he was caught. Investigations were on.
