Armymen protest detachment of rail engine for another train

Varanasi, Sep 1 (UNI) Irked by the detachment of the engine of their Jhansi-bound special train for Neelanchal Express, Indian Army jawans gheraoed the office of the station-master at the Kapsethi railway station here today.

The incident took place, when the engine of a Guwahati-Jhansi special train with army personnel and artillery on board was detached for Neelanchal Express train.

After coming to know the engine of the special train was detached for another train, the angry armymen gheraoed the office of the station-master at Kapsethi railway station, Railway Protection Force (RPF) sources said.

The angry jawans also threatened to block the passage of other trains if another engine was not arranged for their special train in three hrs. The railway employees succeeded in arranging the engine within the deadline set by jawans, following which the special train moved ahead, sources added.
