1 Dead, 12 injured in Assam blast

Guwahati, Sep 1: One person was killed and over 12 injured when a blast ripped through a vegetable market at BG Yard of Bamuni Maigan area here this morning.

Preliminary reports stated that the blast occurred at around 1145 hours.

The injured were rushed to the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital where the condition of five was stated to be critical.

Top police officials had rushed to the spot and further reports were awaited.
