UP DGP wants fool-proof security during festivals

Lucknow, Aug 31 (UNI) In the backdrop of the Agra incident, Uttar Pradesh DGP Vikram Singh today directed that the security arrangements during festivals should be fool-proof, so that any untoward incident could be avoided.

In his directive to senior police officials, the DGP said special security measures be taken during coming festivals viz Janmashtami, Eid-ul-Fitr, Dussera and Diwali.

In the Agra incident, he noted, senior officials controlled the situation, while subordinate officers failed to display a vigilant and discerning attitude.
