Sharif declares his return to Pak

London, Aug 31: Pakistan's deposed prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, has refused to have any deal with President Pervez Musharraf.

At a press conference in the Dorchester hotel, Mr Sharif iterated he will return to Pakistan on September 10 regardless of the outcome of negotiations between General Musharraf and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

Mr Sharif condemned the Pakistan's President, calling him a 'desperate man'. He said ''This man Musharraf is on his way out.

No one should try to rescue him and no one should try to rescue his sinking ship for personal motives. If a deal is struck between Benazir Bhutto and Mr Musharraf, it will not serve the cause of restoring democracy in Pakistan.

''Under no circumstances should she shake hand with him. She has fully committed to me that she will resign if Mr Musharraf gets a second term.'' Mr Sharif said.

He informed that after landing in Islamabad airport, from where he was banished eight years ago. He will take GT road to Rawalpindi and reach his hometown, Lahore.

''We will be launching a movement against Mr Musharraf and his government. We will fight a battle on the streets, in court and everywhere. This will be a defining moment in Pakistan's history.''he added.

Speaking about the possibility of being arrested once he reaches Pakistan, Mr Sharif said after spending more than a year in "solitary confinement in a 16th century fort", he did not fear a further spell in jail.
