Salman Khan arrives in Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 31 (UNI) Traffic around Bollywood actor Salman Khan's suburban Bandra home was thrown out of gear, as thousands of fans gathered there to greet their popular star, after the Rajasthan High Court today granted him bail in the Chinkara poaching case.

Police deployed there had a tough time dealing with the crazy fans, who were time and again blocking the traffic, anticipating his arrival.

As the gathered crowd had besieged his bungalow, Mr Khan had to make the entry from the rear side by jumping across the wall.

However, as soon as he got into the house, a beaming and smiling Khan along with his entire family appeared at the balcony and waved to the hysteric fans to thank them as a gesture of gratitude for giving him massive support during his times of crisis.

Fans carrying bouquets made a beeline to welcome his arrival and shouted slogans in his support.

Earlier, the actor arrived here in a chartered plane from Jodhpur, after spending six days in the central jail there as the Session Court upheld his conviction in the 1998 chinkara case on August 25.

Salman was accompanied by his family members and girlfriend, Katrina Kaif, who had all along been with him during his hearing at the Jodhpur High Court today.

Curious fans of the one of the most controversial cine stars, had also gathered in large numbers at the airport too, to greet him and have a look of their macho man.

From the airport, he drove straight to his Bandra home in a luxury car, with Katrina sharing his company at the rear seat.
