Explosion shakes Afghan capital-witnesses

KABUL, Aug 31 (Reuters) An explosion shook the Afghan capital Kabul early today, witnesses said, but it was not immediately clear what had caused it or if there were any casualties.

Reuters witnesses heard a loud blast but no details on what might have caused it were immediately available.

Neither the military nor police were immediately available for comment.
