Suspect in Hyderabad blast case held

Hyderabad, Aug 30: Police today arrested a person resembling the sketch of the person allegedly involved in the August 25 twin bomb blasts here.

According to police sources, a passenger on an RTC bus proceeding to Hyderabad from Nalgonda, spotted a person bearing resemblance to the accused and informed the police who intercepted the vehicle at Malakpet.

They took custody of the suspect travelling with a woman and a child.

The sources said the person indentified himself as Rajesh Singh, a resident of the Toli Chowki Area of the city and claimed to be working in a restaurant at Gachi Bowli. The police were questioning him.

Meanwhile, police had intensified searches for the accused in sensitive places in the city today along with dog squads.
