Contractor looted by two armed motorcyclists

Phagwara, Aug 30 (UNI) Two unidentified armed motorcyclists looted a cash of Rs 4.28 Lakhs from one contractor Harmeil Singh of Lidrran village on Shankar-Aalowal road yesterday evening.

In the written complaint lodged with police, Harmeil alleged that he was returning from Jalandhar Cantt in his car after withdrawing the amount from the bank, when suddenly two armed motorcyclists struck and broke the windowpanes of his running car by threwing a stone. When he stopped the car to see the broken glass, the two motorcyclists asked him on pistol point to hand over the bag containing the cash. The motorcyclists sped away after snatching the cash bag.

Police has registered a case, but no arrest has been made so for.
