BJP's defeat certain if elections held: MP CM

Panna(MP), Aug 30: Bharatiya Jan Shakti President and former Chief Minister Uma Bharti said that the BJP would suffer a shocking defeat if elections were held soon in Madhya Pradesh and it would hardly get 35 seats.

Stoutly ruling out the possibility of her return to BJP, Ms Bharti said she had no sympathy for BJP.

''My supporters who were inducted into the Shivraj Singh Chouhan ministry would continue to be loyal to me'', she told reporters here yesterday.

Declining to count her supporters among the BJP legislators, the Sadhvi said since the last Assembly election was contested under her leadership and every BJP candidate sought votes in her name, she considered every BJP MLA among her supporters.

BJP won a record three-fourth majority in the 2003 Assembly election for 230 seats.
