Guj: 3 held, IMFL seized
Jamnagar (Gujarat), Aug 30: Police have arrested three persons and seized 240 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from a jeep near Kajurdia village, 65 kms away from here.
Police said that acting on a tip off, the jeep was stopped near Kajurdia village under Khambhaliya taluka last night. Upon a search, the 240 bottles of IMFL, valued at Rs 96,000, were found. The police have also seized three mobiles and the vehicle.
The arrested have been identified as Kalpesh Jayant Vyas and Vinod Bhogibhai, residents of Bapunagar area of Ahmedabad, and Vinod Jamnadas from Bhanvad Taluka from Jamnagar district.
On interrogation, the trio has admitted that the IMFL was brought to Jamnagar for sale in view of the forthcoming Janmasthami festival.
