Two policemen suspended for laxity in duty

Jaunpur, Aug 29 (UNI) Two policemen were suspended and one attached to lines for dereliction of duty late last night here.

Sources today said, Dr Irshad Khan of Muili village at Gaurabadshahpur area, who was killed on August 27, had earlier complained of life threat at the police station and asked for security several times.

In an inquiry initiated by Superintendent of Police M Ashok Jain, Gaurabadshahpur Station House Officer (SHO) Sunil Kumar Singh, sub-inspector Surendra Singh and constable Santosh Singh were found guilty.

Surendra and Santosh were suspended yesterday, whereas Sunil had been attached to police lines.
