Traces of rainfall raises humidity level in city

Kolkata, Aug 29 (UNI) Scanty rainfall in some areas of the city has failed to bring down the humidity level in the city.

With the maximum temperature remaining three degrees above normal at 34.8 degrees Celsius and minimum at 26.7 degrees Celsius, the humidity level added to the discomfort of the people in the city and its suburbs.

Met office personnel here said that the maximum relative humidity was recorded at 95 per cent and the minimum at 58 per cent.

The officials predicted a few spells of rain in the next 24 hours. But, the sky will generally remain cloudy.
