Tata may go for some more acquisitions
Mumbai, Aug 30: India's steel major Tata Steel today hinted that it was open for some more acquisitions post-Corus deal.
''We may go for more aquisitions, however, it is subjected to our business requirements. We will undertake acquisitions as and when make sense,'' Chairman of the Tata Steel Ratan Tata today said when a query was posed to him from one of the shareholders during the company's 100th Annual General Meet held here.
Stating that the company's share prices have gone up by 20 per cent year-on-year basis for the past 10 years post-acquisition, Tata said the combined production of the company has touched 26 million tonne, which has made it the sixth largest steel producer in the world.
