Silver declines, gold steady

Mumbai, Aug 29: Spot silver eased today by Rs 225 per kg while gold remained steady, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the opening rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg).999 fineness grade: Rs 16,850, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 8,900, Gold 99.9 purity pure Gold : Rs 8,950.
