Punjab dispatches cattle fodder for flood hit Bihar
Ludhiana, Aug 29 (UNI) Another consignment of wheat straw (toori) for feeding cattle was dispatched from Shanewal railway station to Karpuri in flood hit Bihar today..
Deputy Commissioner Sumer Singh Gurjar said today 40 bogies loaded with the stray left for Bihar. The cattle fodder was being sent on the instructions of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
The first consignment was sent on August 26.
Mr Gurjar further informed that the wheat straw was contributed by farmers of eight districts of the state--Ludhiana, Ropar, Sangrur, Patiala, Fathegarh Sahib, Ferozepur, Moga and Bathinda.
