PM's Shram Vir award for BHEL officials

Tiruchirapalli, Aug 29 (UNI) T Rajendran and G Kamaraj, employees of public sector Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) Tiruchirapalli, have jointly won the prestigious Prime Minister's Shram Vir award for the year 2005.

A BHEL release said here today that Mr Rajendran was bagging the award for the second time. It carried a cash prize of Rs 60,000 and certificates.

The awardees were involved in the manufacturing of various products such as heat recovery steam generators, panels, coal valves, headers and ceiling girders.

They had been contributing to the company by way of suggesting new methods to improve productivity, reduce working time and improve quality of products to satisfy the customers, the release added.
