Liberhan Commission report expected by August 31

New Delhi, Aug 29 (UNI) The report of the Liberhan Commission of Inquiry is expected to be submitted to the Government within its present extended tenure (August 31), the government told the Rajya Sabha today.

Minister of State for Home Affairs Sriprakash Jaiswal, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, said that the government had extended the tenure of the Commission on 40 occasions since its appointment.

An expenditure of Rs 717.66 lakh has been incurred on the Commission till July 31, 2007.
