Japan's TOPIX index falls 3 pct in early trade
TOKYO, Aug 29 (Reuters) Japan's TOPIX index fell 3 percent on Wednesday morning as rekindled worries about the economy and a credit squeeze that saw sharp falls on Wall Street triggered selling across the board in Tokyo.
The TOPIX, covering all first-section shares on the Tokyo exchange, lost 3 percent to 1,537.14 as of 0015 GMT.
The benchmark Nikkei average was down 2.6 percent at 15,870.90.
