IBM launches operations in Vishakapatnam
New Delhi, Aug 29 (UNI) Aimed at strengthening its foothold in the country, IBM India today announced the launch of its operations in Vishakapatnam.
The company is mulling to open centres in six cities, including Nashik, Surat, Bhubaneswar, Jamshedpur, Jaipur&Madurai, a company statement said.
''Small and Medium Businesses play an integral role in sustaining country's growth story. Vizag, a fast-growing city will be an important market for IBM, and this initiative will further reinforce our commitment to deliver things faster and better to our customers,'' IBM India, South Asia, VP, global small and medium business, Lingraju Sawkar said.
The IT major's operations in Vishakapatnam will target various clients across segments and focus on specific verticals such as manufacturing, defence /government, IT/ITES, education, pharma, travel and tourism, the statemet added.
UNI
