Do not link Muslims with bomb blasts: Burney

Hyderabad, Aug 29 (UNI) Roznama Rashtriya Sahara Editor Aziz Burney today objected to linking Muslim organisations with the August 25 twin bomb blasts in the city.

Addressing the press here, Mr Burney said it was wrong on the part of the government and investigating agencies to name organisations like HUJI and Pakistan's ISI without proper investigation into the incident and alleged it was done only to malign Muslims in the country.

He wondered how the police named the organisations 30 minutes into the incident 'without proper investigation.' He said Islam and terrorism were different and objected to branding such occurrences as Islamic terrorism.

Mr Burney said there was no caste, colour and creed for terrorism.

Decades back, the government and the investigating agencies used to name the Central Intelligence Agency of America for every incident but now they were naming only Muslim organisations.

He suspected the bomb blasts could have been carried out to divert the attention of the people from the burning issue of the nuclear deal with America, which was opposed by the Left.

Mr Burney said he was against such attacks and for booking the culprits. He urged the government and the police not to hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community in the country.
