15 policemen missing after encounter

Jagdalpur, Aug 29 (UNI) Fifteen police personnel, including an officer, were missing after an encounter with naxalites in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh this afternoon.

Station House Officer Hemant and 14 jawans were reported missing after the encounter at Tarmetla village in Jagargunda police station area, Superintendent of Police Rahul Sharma said.

A helicopter had been deployed in search of the missing police personnel, including few jawans of the Special Task Force, Mr Sharma added.
