Trinamool Congress ready for mid-term LS elections : Mamata

Kolkata, Aug 28 (UNI) Predicting mid-term Lok Sabha poll within a year, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee today asked her party workers to prepare themselves to fight against the ruling Left Front government in the state.

The CPI(M)-led Left Front government was ruling out the mid-term polls as they were afraid of losing seats, she said in a rally here.

'' We are ready for the LS elections and would not budge an inch to the CPI(M) in the coming elections, '' she said.

She also demanded a CBI inquiry into the joint entrance examination scam because several ruling government leaders were allegedly involved in it.

She alleged the CPI(M) was adopling double standards. On one hand they were setting up SEZ, on the other they were opposing the US on the nuclear deal, She said.
