UP: Three minors drown in pond

Siddharthnagar, Aug 28: Three children drowned in a pond in separate incidents here, police said today.

Police said the incident took place at Dharuar village in Devrua area yesterday, where Jitendra (8) and Vasani (10) drowned while bathing in a pond.

In a separate incident, Chandan (5) drowned in a pond at Pakdi village of Chilitya area.

Bodies of the deceased had been fished out.
