Saharsa DM replaced

Patna, Aug 27(UNI) Amidst controversy over his failure to recognize the voice of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the District Magistrate of Saharsa Niranjan Choudhary was replaced tonight.

The State Government issued notification in this regard and directed Mr Narmadeshwar Lal,another IAS officer,to take charge of District Magistrate of saharsa.

Earlier during the day,DM of Saharsa Niranjan Choudhary had failed to recognize the voice of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar when he made a telephonic call to inquire about the relief operation being carried out in a particular area of the district. Mr Choudhary replied to CM in a casual manner and did not give some specific information, as he could not recognize the Chief Minister's voice on phone.

Mr Kumar had made a telephonic call to District Magistrate of Saharsa after he received complaints from flood victims about the apathetic attitude of the district administration and non distribution of relief materials in a particular area of the district.
