Orissa will have its first auto components complex
Bhubaneswar, Aug 28 (UNI)An auto components complex, the first of its kind in Orissa, will soon come up at Mania near Tangi in Cuttack district.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to lay the foundation for the Rs 430 crore project on Thursday.
Promoted by Jamshedpur-based RSB Trasmissions (I) Ltd., one of the country's leading auto components manufacturers, the complex will come up over an area of 270 acres of land.
Official sources here said the company had already acquired 90 acres of land. The company planned to invest Rs 430 crore in the next four years in the complex which will have a casting and forging plant.
Besides the chief minister, state Industries Minister Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, Chief Secretary Ajit Kumar Tripathy,RSB Group of Companies Chairman R.K.Behera and Managing Director S.K.Behera were among others scheduled to grace the foundation laying function.
