ONGC inks pact with SAP for sharing expertise

New Delhi, Aug 28 (UNI) SAP AG, the world's largest maker of business-management software today entered into a strategic partnership with state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) for sharing expertise.

The agreement, valid for an initial period of two years, will enable the two organisations to collaborate for training and consultancy assignments in India and globally, on mutually agreed terms.

ONGC has implemented one of the largest Information Technology (IT) projects for Oil and Gas operations using SAP solutions, which has given excellent results.

Speaking after signing the agreement here, ONGC Chairman and Managing Director R S Sharma said such networking with global business partners not only enables executives to enrich their job contents, but also motivates them to deliver best-in-class performance in respective domains.

The agreement was signed between ONGC's Director (HR) Dr A K Balyan and President and CEO (SAP America's Asia Pacific and Japan region) Bill McDermott.
