One killed, two severely burnt in fireworks explosion
Barrackpore, Aug 28 (UNI) A 10-year-old boy was killed while two other teenagers were severely burnt in a fireworks explosion at Bara Narayanpukuria village in North 24 Parganas today.
The victims were making fireworks as part of their routine duty this morning with only an adult to supervise them. The locals said the house was owned by a local resident Julifiquer Ali.
While the fire was locally extinguished without help from the fire brigade, police have rushed to the spot and seized the body of Shahrukh Ali, who was making fireworks along with another local boy and girl. Paltu and Sahana.
Paltu and Sahana have been admitted to Dr BN Bose sub-divisional hospital here with almost 100 per cent burn injuries. Hospital authorities have, however, referred both the cases to RG Kar Hospital in the city, hospital source said.
Police from Barasat have sent the body of Shahrukh for post mortem, official sources here said.
