Mayawati's drive registers 83 cases

Siddharthnagar, Aug 28 (UNI) At least 83 cases have been registered in three districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh under the Mayawati's government drive to register cases of those who had fallen prey to the atrocities in the last government's regime.

At least 72 cases had been registered in Basti, one in Sant Kabirnagar and 10 in Siddharthnagar districts, police said today.

The cases are under investigation.
