Four Iranian students held for attacking security guard

Mysore, Aug 28 (UNI) Police have arrested four Iranian students, including two girls studying at the University of Mysore, for allegedly attacking a security guard at a hotel in the city.

Police said the students attacked the security guard last night for not allowing them to consume liquor, which they had brought with them, outside the hotel.

Following a complaint lodged by the hotel staff, the police arrested the students from their rooms at Siddartha Layout in the city.

Later, they were produced before the JMFC court and released on bail after furnishing a surety of Rs 5,000 today.

The arrested were Mohamnad Romi, Hussain Shaheen, Faheeme Dawoodi and Azade Hemotholah Kareem, police added.
